Pick up some stars, put them on the console, and see the magic unfold!
Constellation Cove is an installation that connects the physical and digital world, where users can create their own constellations by using physical stars that would be ‘launched’ onto the projected galaxy.

As the main animator and illustrator, I worked on the majority of the onboarding video and illustrations used for the project marketing. I coordinated the design direction for the illustrations and came up with an illustration system that helped set a foundation for the 2D graphics.
Outside of the video and illustrations, I also assisted the marketing team with a few social media posts and posters, boosting user interactions on our platform.

Piquing visitor interest before exhibition
Piquing visitor interest before exhibition
The project was revealed about 3 months before the exhibition date, so a lot of marketing was done to pique visitor interests, and to also inform them what this project is.
The main social media platforms used were Instagram and LinkedIn, with more focus on follower interactions through Instagram.
Below are a few of the social media posts that I designed and contributed to:

Personality Quiz: Increasing potential visitor interaction
Personality Quiz: Increasing potential visitor interaction
Weeks before exhibition, we wanted to increase the interactions from potential visitors on our social media platforms, so we decided to add something fun to our instagram.
Since our project was heavily based around the 5 stars, I designed five characters that represented the stars, and presented them in a personality quiz. The quiz allowed the users to determine which star personality type they are.
Many users took the quiz and user interactions accumulated an average increase of 80% in outreach, 120% in engagement, and 990% in profile activity.

Having flexible pants in a fast paced team
Originally, I took on the task of animating the onboarding video, and since a design direction wasn’t set yet, I wasn’t able to start on the video. So I made an illustration system to set the foundation of the design direction, and also took on the responsibility of illustrating other graphics for the social media since the marketing team was falling behind.
I was able to lend a hand to the set design, development, webpage, and marketing team since there was so much that needed to be done in a short amount of time. This really taught me on being flexible with my different design skills for different needs and team members.
