To gain insight into the challenges people face with skincare, I conducted user research by gathering qualitative data. I interviewed over 10 potential users, asking questions to identify the main barriers to starting and maintaining a routine. Their responses provided valuable insights into common frustrations, confusion about ingredients, and the need for clearer guidance.

This is a redesign of a project from February 2023, and after many feedbacks and peer reviews, I decided to redo the project fully to see how much my skills have improved since. Within a month, I went through the end-to-end process of rediscovering and redesigning this project.
Here’s what I’ve learned
Utilizing user research such as quant research to kick start my design process
Affinity mapping is great for organizing thoughts, data, and notes
How much data can drive a design
Although there has been major changes and improvements for this project, there is more that could be done to improve this product.
